Step 6: Launch Your Campaign

Are you ready to launch the campaign you’ve created?

It’s time to launch your campaign! By now you should have completed the following steps:

  • Identified your goals, audience(s) and key message(s)
  • Chosen a date to launch and 1-3 channels and activities to focus on
  • Created your campaign marketing materials

Take a moment now to consider whether there is anything else you need to prepare before you start fielding inquiries from potential new volunteers.

It’s also important at this stage to choose some key metrics that you’ll be keeping an eye on. What will you measure the success of the campaign on?

Whether it’s the number of clicks, calls, inquiries, or something else related to your goals - measure something that will help you audit the result of your efforts.

Launch And Measure the Impact of Your Campaign

  1. Use social media scheduling tools like Later, Meet Edgar or Canva to schedule posts, ads, and other types of content ahead of time.
  2. Use free tools like bit.ly and google analytics to measure the result of your efforts in clicks and online engagement.
  3. For other channels, like letter-writing or newspaper ads, keep track of the number of inquiries, making sure to ask where they heard about volunteering opportunities with your organization.
  4. Keep up the momentum by dedicating 15-30 mins each day of the campaign to review comments, respond to inquiries, and stay on task.
